Need a hand with school, work, mental health, housing or home life? We’re here for you. Our youth services include one-on-one support, school programs and fun community activities to help you build skills, find your path and feel more confident about what’s next.

Case Management

One-on-one support, built around you.

Our case management service is all about supporting you in the way you need. We’ll listen, guide and help you tackle whatever life’s throwing at you.

Here’s how we can help:

  • Work through challenges with school, work, housing, family life and more.
  • Connect you with services like mental health support or other programs you might need.
  • Support you with managing stress, anxiety, drug or alcohol issues or domestic violence concerns.
  • Stand up for you and help you get the support and resources you need.

School-Based Programs

Formal and community-led programs delivered in local schools during term. 

Resilience Program

A fun, supportive group run with a different school each term. Weekly sessions tackle challenges like bullying, mental health, family and domestic violence and substance use – along with topics chosen by the group – helping young people build resilience and life skills.

Year 6 Transition Program

Prepare for the high school journey by building confidence, friendships and resilience. This group helps students learn practical skills to tackle new challenges, adjust to change and feel more prepared for the next stage of school.

Nutrition Program 

Learn to cook healthy, budget-friendly meals while chatting about life. This hands-on program teaches students how to make healthy, affordable meals and make the most of leftovers – while creating space for some important conversations along the way.

Resilience Program

A fun, supportive group for students needing extra guidance, run each term with a different school. Each week covers important topics like bullying, mental health, family and domestic violence, drug and alcohol use, and other issues identified within the group, helping young people build resilience no matter what life throws at them.

Yr 6 Transitional Program

Helps students prepare for high school by building confidence, friendships and resilience. Focuses on adjusting to change and tackling new challenges.

Nutrition Program 

Learn how to cook and enjoy healthy, delicious meals on a budget – plus how to turn leftovers into lunches for the next day. This hands-on program teaches practical skills for healthy living and budgeting.

Koori Girls & Boys Groups

Cultural programs where students connect with their culture, community and identity. Our Homebase team supports these groups by participating in cultural activities and assisting with NAIDOC Week preparations.

Love Bites

The Love Bites Respectful Relationships Program is delivered by our Homebase team for young people aged 11–17 years. It promotes healthy relationships, raises awareness of domestic and family violence and sexual assault, and empowers participants with practical skills through interactive workshops and creative activities.


Love Bites is a program developed by NAPCAN (National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect).

Koori Girls & Boys Groups

Outside of School Programs 

Programs delivered during school holidays, on weekends or after school in collaboration with our partner services. 

Kids on a Mission 

Adventure-based fun for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander kids and young people. Includes surfing, hiking, paddle boarding, BBQs and more to keep kids busy and engaged in the school holidays.

Surfing and Water Awareness 

These sessions teach local kids essential water safety, surfing, and ocean skills while building confidence in and around the water. Kids learn how to stay safe in different conditions, and have fun in the surf.

Muay Thai

An after-school fitness group for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander kids on Worimi Country. Held weekly at Forster MNC Muay Thai and run in partnership with Tobwabba Aboriginal Medical Service, participants learn self-defence and build confidence through martial arts.

Strive for Success is a Job Skills, Training and Employment Program designed to help young people aged 15-24 become part of the workforce.

Run by our Homebase Youth Services team, we offer:

  • One-on-one mentoring to set & achieve your goals.
  • Support to improve job skills, find and apply for work, and interview with confidence.
  • Assistance in finding work, apprenticeships, traineeships and the right education courses to secure future employment.
  • Weekly appointments in a private, friendly space with your Job Coach to discuss progress and other support needs.
  • Post-placement support for up to 12 months after securing a job, helping you overcome any hurdles in those first important months.

Finding a job can be downright scary and confusing – but we can help you through it.

Great Lakes and Manning Youth Homelessness Service

Support for young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Our sister youth service, GLAMYHS, provides Specialist Homelessness Services for 16–24-year-olds in the NSW MidCoast. Their programs aim to break the cycle of disadvantage and support young people to secure safe, stable long-term housing.

Taree Crisis Youth Refuge
24/7 supported short-term accommodation for young people aged 16-17 requiring immediate crisis housing.

Transitional Accommodation Program
Semi-supported transitional accommodation for 16–24-year-olds, including single parents and young families with children.

Outreach Youth Housing Support Program

Outreach support for young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to secure and maintain permanent housing.
